Dragonfly Cell Phone Purse

Title: Blue Cell Phone Purse with Dragonfly
Fabric: Poly-cotton to match pants from yesterday
Add 30 more minutes work to a pair of pants and you can have a matching purse for your cell phone! It's simple, really.
(OK. I started typing out the instructions, but it takes w-a-a-yyy longer to type than it does to make. I'll take some photos and get directions in here another day.)
You hardly ever make anything without a little scrap left over, right? These take about a fat quarter, plus the strap, which you *can* make out of purchased cording. The little purses make wonderful holders for cell phones, or eye glasses, or iPods, or whatever. They're fun, too. Every time I put one on, I think of mustachioed men wearing bandeliers of ammunition across their chests! <gg>
I have 3 of them now. The first one is so ratty-looking that I don't use it as often as I used to. I like the strap on it far better than the cording straps that I have used on two of the purses I've made. The flat strap is much more comfortable and it doesn't slip like the cords do.
I keep making slight improvements with each new purse. This one has the key clip on the side. I'd like to figure out a way to keep the key inside, but still convenient because I worry about losing it. On this one I also changed the closure strap. It's narrower and has its hook-and-loop fastener on the inside of the front pocket, making for a neater front.
Sure! I will post the pattern soon. My next pair of pants will be underway ASAP, and then a new purse to go with them.

I love your purse. Would love it if you would post pattern and directions! I need to figure out a way to transform it into one for a guy my husband is always losing his phone. Thanks for your inspiration!
