Remember the Ugly Fabric SWAP from February?
At our February ASG Neighborhood Group Meeting, we swapped an undesirable fabric from our stash for someone else's. April is when this is "due" back to the group for Show & Tell. April 8, to be exact.
The ugly that I received is pretty in it's own way I suppose--it's hefty, slubbed and has gold threads shot through it. I haven't done a burn test, but I'm guessing silk or rayon. When washed, it thickened up a little. It's certainly hefty enough to be a jacket for someone who could wear that awful gold color-- I don't wear gold, or yellow, or orange.
This particular color reminds me of the uniform I had to wear when I worked at the Krystal in 1978.
<<shudder>>
I don't know what I'm gonna do with it, but I've gotta do it fast. I took it with me shopping on Saturday and found a companion print:

It wants to be something exotic.
I'm thinking gym bag.
