This is a *great* machine! The only minor problem that I have with it (and its sister, the 403a) is that it will not tolerate any stray thread or lint in the hook area. If you hear a noise while sewing, you may as well stop right then and clean out the area. After sewing with a 15 class machine for years, this was a surprise!
I bought this machine from a friend. His mother had bought it new. It came with a blond cabinet and matching stool, all original accessories and manual. I had to do a little work to un-stick the stitch selector knobs at first, but it works wonderfully now! It came with the brown bobbin winder tire and spool felts. Unfortunately I had to replace the bobbin winder tire with a black one. :(
