This machine was painted royal blue in the 1970s, and electrified sometime before that. It belonged to a dear friend's mother who used it for her household sewing. One Christmas, when I was at home visiting, my friend gave it to me. I'm so delighted! It's almost as good as having a family machine.
It's now in residence in my sewing room--used often when I want a nice straight stitch or just want to treadle. Many of these pictures were taken sometime before I broke my arm in May of 2000. I took the pictures, dismantled and cleaned the machine, then broke my arm. It was a lot of fun figuring out how to put it back together after it lay in pieces in the garage for 6 months!
