Here's a couple of views of the cabinet. You'll notice that the drawers are held in place by sturdy metal frames. The small center drawer swings out to hold bobbins and needles. Only the fronts of the metal drawer frames are plated!
I like the little flip-up extension on the left of the sewing surface. It's amazing that something so simple could work so well!
