Here you can see the handcrank for the Vickers. Also, the accessory compartment which contained a few needles in a modern (1980s?) needle package, and a repair ticket for "Mrs. Burton."
Notice the holes in the case near the bed of the machine. Apparently, this machine could fit in a special treadle stand or could be made portable by using it with the crank. (Would *you* call a 40 pound machine portable????)
